Either one will be more engine than you need on an 8 inch tire.

If Bloomquist could win the $100,000.00 race at Batesville with a 388ci-23* all steel engine then why would you think you need more hp than that.

i asked a simple question, and apparently you cant answer since you keep worrying about other aspects,im not worred about bloomer or a 8 inch tire i just would like to know the hp and torque differences of the question asked,SIMPLE

my understanding is that 18* heads add a minimum of 100 hp bolt on but a good worked over set adds more hp! just what ive heard, i have ran 23* for ever and I myself am thinking of building an 18* or even a 12* engine!

Yeah, and that was how long ago, and was also IMCA rules--no spoiler, and hockey puck tires!! 700 on a tacky track isnt enough. In the slick, you need a great driver though!! Can be done, but THROTTLE CONTROL is KEY!
