Late Model Tire Question

At our local track we are allowed to run Lm-40 and D-55s....There supposed to be close to the same....I also seen a car with WISSOTA D-55's..... Is there any difference in the WISSOTA tire????? thanks for any info!

the LM40 should be a wider tire with a 2 ply sidewall if it is up against the wrs55 the 40 is a better tire. that being said is it 3tenths better doubtful is it worth the extra money maybe not.

wissota tire and wrs tire is identical.
