I've allways ran a 32 gallon (alky motor). Thinking about switching to a 22, or a 16 gallon, but I think that might be too small. My fuel consumption at the most is around 14 gallons without alot of cautions. Being light is not an issue, I could always hang more lead.

i run a 22 gallon cell but dont use as much and also run alky the track you race at must be bigger a 22 should get you there but iwouldnt go any lower then that at your current consumption rate.

You only need 32 gallons for LONG races, 50 laps or so. This is the exact reason many Super Late teams switched to gas, the longer races proved to much for alcohol BUT the 22 gallon cell was not large enough for gas either that is why all of a sudden every cell mfg makes 26-28 gallon cells. You should be good at 22 but I would not run any 40-50 lap events.

Thanks for the replies, the 22 gallon should work.

you can figure about a gallon a lap for a half mile track.

That would have to be on Alcohol. Still seems a bit high for me. On gas we burn around 15 gallons a night. Hotlaps, Qual, Heat, and Feature. 40 to 50 laps per night total.
