I am thinking of getting a sandwich adapter to go between the oil filter and block and plum in a cooler.

Any one on here run this setup ... what do you think about it?

We run a similar set up. We have a moroso fliter relocation plate at the stock filter location. The oil flows from there to a remote filter, then thru an oil cooler and then back into the front of the block, above the timing cover. It works great and our oil stays about 20-30 degrees warmer than the water.

I'd contact Chad Mullins at Mullins Race Engines. He has been running oil coolers on his high-end USMTS motors for a long time. We called him and added a system this year on our open modified motor. It works great and hooked up with ease. www.mullinsraceengines.com (217) 999-2031 or (800) 626-4890.

run the moroso oil cooler adaptor on the block 23692, and a PRC cooler http://prcracing.com/oil-coolers.html , -12lines, that combo works really good. another tip, dont run a cheap oil pump with this combo, run a melling select race pump, no m55 or m55hv stuff here.
we use melling 10555 with these combos

We run a Canton sandwich adapter part # 22-541 on a 604 crate with no probs. Its a nice piece!
