how is jbar rake mesured --is it the difference between the mounting on the pinion and the mounting point on the frame? reason i ask is car is tight in middle--i mesured ours and it is 9in. could this be right--this is on a rocket rear clip car--thanks in advance

You are correct. Measure from the ground up to center of heim on pinion and measure from the ground up to center of heim on frame and the difference between the measurement is your rake. Start out even with center on pinion and with about 4-5 inches of rake on frame end and adjust from there. We used to run one inch below center of pinion. 9inches of rake is usually too much, depends upon driver/chassis/track.Good luck.

try not to go over 7 inches of rake and keep mount in center of pinion on rearend
