whats a good 8" tire? I have been running the IMCA g60 . the g60 is the track tire at one track so i gotta stick with that, but the other track that i run at has an open tire rule, you just cant run more then a 10" wheel. I keep getting second and i think its because the tire is just beating me. the guy who keeps winning is running the dirtboss tires . is there anything better?

Depends on the surface and your car set up.

I would say the hoosier D compounds are insanely better on a moist track than the g60, but they are soo soft and bite so much I needed a whole different set up to run them at all.

I would say stick with what you run regularly.

i live in nevada, so i run on some really dry slick tracks. both are 1/4 mile bullrings. and we cannot groove the g60.

American Racers MED are out-running & out-lasting the Hoosier D40's in these parts. AR's cheaper too!

American racers are junk on the hard dry tracks, you need a hard hoosier to run on the dry stuff, if its wet the AR's are the way to go. Any hoosier will outrun the AR's when it is dry but the weight of your car will decide which hoosier you need. If you can keep up with the piece of crap g60s you should lap them with a hoosier d30, rc4, a40, med, or hard.

The Dirt Bozz is the best street stock tire Hoosier makes, IMO.
They also make them in 9" (255,265 65's) and 10" 275, 285, 295, 305.

We could usually get a minimum of two races out of a RR, we'd just turn it around and re-grove the shoulder.

We have defeated a Dirt Bozz shod car twice this year on the g-60 tire, but as you know, we have alot of adjustment.

It is too bad that Hoosier quit making the hard compound Dirt Bozz
