View Full Version : Camaro spindle on metric question

I am trying to put Camaro spindles on the front of my metric. I put one on the right side and it leaned the top of the tire way out and also toed that side way out (like 2 inches!)
I don't mind moving the mounts (was planning to do that anyway), but does anybody know what tie rods to use or what would fix the toe problem?

I used late 70s chevelle tierods on mine cause they were a little beefier than the metrics. The right side is just about bottomed out and the left side has about an inch between the inner and outer tierod but it works.

Thanks man, I will try those. Are you using inner and outer ones?

What is the advantage of using the camaro spindles? ~Thanks~

Just cut a 1/2 " or so from each stock tie rod, and shorten the sleeve alittle if needed. Try and fix the bump steer while your doing your conversion.
