Ok guys sat. night ran on 3/8 smooth tacky all night track had 6.57 gear in car last time I ran there had 9' and only had 6.20 gear car didn't turn but 6400 went to qc and put in 6.57 gear. Car drove great and couldn't spin it out and could drive it in deep and higher than anyone else and rolled over and plenty of sidebite but just wouldn't turn over 6800 and at times labored motor did it have too much bite and have the car too locked to the track because figured i could turn it between 74 to 7500,timing was set correctly and motor ran and sounded great just wouldn't turn the xtra rpm's I had hoped for.thx

I would only expect a 3-400 rpm gain with that gear ratio change. Also a q/c has a little more drag resulting in less HP to the wheels.

Yep. put 7.20's in and you'll be close.
