Didnt want to side track the street tire thread but had a question for all of you. I have heard different people say, they are good after you put some heat in them, they cooled off after a caution and were junk, get them too hot and they are junk etc. However nobody seems to know how hot is hot. Everybody seems to have a different opinon of hot but no actual numbers. 3100# streetstocks. pretty much IMCA.

With hoosiers once you get them hot, you cannot allow them to cool or they will seal off. They won't refire on the restart. So always go harder rather than softer on compound, if you are borderline on which to run. Once it fires, keep the heat in it. If you go to soft cooling it doesnt help, you are pretty much in a 4 wheel drift the rest of the race.

No big deal on them, the IMCA hoosiers dont seal up or glaze over like the AR did.
You can get them hot and cold and they will still durometer the same.
