I bought a new 58" floater and I need to mount the brake caliper brackets. It a metric car and if I knew what I know now I would have bought a 60 incher. If I mount the calipers behind the axle they are close to the frame and I have shock clearance problems. Any issue with mounting them about the 4 o'clock position on the front of the axle? That looks like the only place that would eliminate ANY chassis interference and it would aleviate my shock clearance problem.
Thanks

thats where mine are... but i think your looking at your clock backwards, looking at the end of the axle (from the wheel well) the centerline of the mount is about 8 o'clock position, definitely more clearance mounting this way than any other position.. and i run a 62" centered,i wouldnt really recommend narrower than 60
