They are doing some weird ass qualifying so ill have to sort it out afterwards...why not just do it one at a time

Probably not the fairest way to qualify for heats at a race of this caliber, but I guess they were worried about the rain.

Because qualifying is ridiculous to start with. Why qualify at all? But to pacify the "proffesionals", and with the time constarints, this was about the best way to do it.

For a 10k race Fri and a 10K race Sat. seems any format would do. I believe the WoO will draw for starting positions like they normally do at any regular WoO event. The first 12 position will be determined by reaching into a bag and pulling out a number. The luck of the draw will trump Davenports 2 fast qualifying times. How fair is that?

The WoO does a great promotion for this event but don't get caught up in the hype.
