my question is im building a imca car out of my ump type car ambishouse project i know but im someone mentioned about the rear tail section and this factory seam deal im not sure weather this frame is cut at the seam or closer to the hump but in imca do they check this and enforce it or just let it go and dont worry about it

Your biggest concern should be the fuel pump notching / placement and engine set back.

which track will u be racing with it determines how well they check it. if u goto supernationals it will be checked

If your cross member is notched for a fuel pump or altered in anyway......you might as well forget it.

the seam is hard to see if you dont know where it is exactly. here is a pic of my car..the seam is about 2 inches in front of where the tube meets the stock frame.

if your frame is notched for a fuel pump just fill it in and set the motor back to imca specs.
