PTGP MOVED TO SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
10th Annual Possum Town Grand Prix November 27th and 28th

Columbus, Mississippi (11/23/10) The 10th edition of the Possum Town Grand Prix will ndroar to life this weeked on November 26th-28th at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.

For 2010, Jeff Greer has taken over the reins for the Thanksgiving weekend tradition known as the Possum Town Grand Prix. The veteran promoter has moved the event from Columbus Speedway to the state-of-the-art Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) and has also devised a new format, where all competitors, except in the Mini Stock division, have a chance to compete in a full program each night, while also taking home money each night.

The event opens on Friday, November 26th with an Open Practice Session from 6pm to 9pm. On Friday night, pit admission is $15 with grandstand admission free.

The PRO Dirt Car Series Super Late Model tour will sanction a $2,000 to win, 40 lap event on Saturday, November 27th, while the NeSmith National Crate Late Model Series will sanction their annual invitational, which will pay $1,000 to win/$100 to start. Also, on Saturday afternoon’s card will be a $500 to win Open Wheel Modified event, $300 to win Street Stock event, and Kajun Mini Stocks will run their heat races. On Saturday, grandstand admission for adults is $15 with senior citizens, active military, and children (11-17 years of age) $12. Children 10 years of age and younger are free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $30 for adults with kids 6-10 years of age $15. Ages 5 & under are free

On Sunday afternoon, the PRO Dirt Car Series will headline the event with a $3,000 to win, 40 lap Super Late Model program. The NeSmith Crate Late Model Series will host a $2,500 to win/$200 to start, 40 lap event. The Street Stock division will battle for $500 to win with Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $700 to win and Kajun Mini Stocks running their feature event for $750 to win. On Sunday, grandstand admission for adults is $20 with senior citizens, active military, and children (11-17 years of age) $15. Children 10 years of age and younger are free in the grandstands with a paying adult. Pit passes are $30 for adults with kids 6-10 years of age $15. Ages 5 & under are free.

Weather looks great for this weekend. Sunny skies forecast.
High of 57 Saturday and 63 Sunday.
Hot laps should be around 2pm each day and racing at 3pm.

Should also be a great field of Nesmith Crate Late Models for each show as well.

Plus Open Wheel Mods, Streets, and Mini Stocks racing too.

Trackside parking is free with paid admission.

I'm not sure on who all is there, but they have 48 Super's today for $2,000 to win! Great count...
