NO FLUID dampner. Agreed ATI super dampner, too much money on the internals to put a junk balancer on it..

TCI makes the Rattler F ..ATI makes the Super Dampner A+

yeah the rattler is junk. it broke the snout off a good callies piece we had. Couldnt convince the driver not to put it on when the old ati had problems he found out how expensive a new crank was.

Anything that is supposed to be balance as closely as a rotating assemble is should not have something boucing around in it JMO JMO

Bingo.
The Fluid Damper, Rattler, and Gap-Less rings, all work better on paper, than in the real world.TB

Had an imca late model motor on the dyno with a litewieght 283 balancer on it.Tried a ATI balancer,it was close but the ATI lost 2hp.

Never see or feel 2hp on the track (was this consistant or just a one pull comparison, by the way? ) I am sure the crank would be happier with the ATI super dampner.

Did you use a light weight ATI so you were comparing apples to apples or did you compare a light 283 and a standard weight ATI?

I didn't write the wieghts down,I think it was just under 5lbs for the 283,around 8 for the ati.Any changes that didn't go as planned we made second pulls on, the results never changed.
