Heckenast Racing Preparing for Rookie of the Year Title Run with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2011!

(FRANKFORT, ILLINOIS) The Heckenast Racing team and 22-year-old second generation driver Frank Heckenast, Jr. announced this week on their website (www.frankjr99.com) that they intend to follow the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series full-time during the 2011 season. Frank will vie for the Rookie of the Year title on the ultra-competitive circuit next year. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series schedule currently shows forty-one confirmed dates in nineteen different states. The nation’s premier Dirt Late Model series also boasts a comprehensive television package on the SPEED Channel, as well as a broadcast of the 2011 ‘Show-Me 100’ on CBS Sports.

Frankie and the #99jr team have added an experienced car boss to their program during the off-season in preparation for the start of the Lucas Oil campaign next February at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. Austin Hargrove, who worked with Frankie several years ago, has reunited with Heckenast Racing following a successful stint with Bart Hartman Racing. The crew chief of the 2009 ‘World 100’ winner will bring a wealth of knowledge to the Heckenast Racing team, as he followed the entire Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tour in 2008 with second-place-finisher Bart Hartman.

Along with the addition of Austin, the team will also have a pair of brand-new Rocket racecars at their disposal for the 2011 campaign. Pro Power Racing Engines will once again power the #99jr next year and primary sponsorship will come from Speedway Auto Parts, Pic-A-Part Used Auto & Truck Parts, www.IndyPicAPart.com, Tom’s Concrete, Steve’s Performance, Chase Decals, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), and VP Racing Fuel.

A new website has also been launched during the off-season at www.frankjr99.com. Designed and developed by Delph Communications, Inc., the site has all of the same great information as the old website, but with a fresh look. Be sure to stop by and visit the new www.frankjr99.com and check it out!
