2011 Championship - $5000
The Steel Block Bandits have stepped it up again. In 2011 the series champion will receive a fat check worth $5000. In 2009 we crawled, in 2010 we walked and in 2011 we are running, series promoter Danny Wilson. With the growth of our series, we are no longer looked at as a mid major series.
We are a major series, making a lot of noise within the racing community and viewed as one of the best, affordable and most competitive series on the east coast. Great things are happening for our series, our drivers, our sponsors and the tracks that have scheduled us. Wilson closed his interview by saying, 2011 is our year and I cannot thank everyone involved enough. We have some of the best drivers within the Mid Atlantic region.
The series has also changed another item for 2011. The top 12 within the championship points at year end will receive moneys earned.In the past it has only been the top 10. This series has become one of the best in the nation. If you think about where the series was in 2009 and where it is heading in 2011, its overwhelming. Everything about this series is about growth, development and teamwork. The series started with basically nothing and has given us more than just racing. The teams have gotten better, the sponsors get so much exposure and at each event the tracks are treated to some of the best racing on the east coast. I can remember a fan stopping us at VMS and telling us that he has traveled with some of the major super late series in our area for the past 20 years and the Steel Block Bandits put on a much better show. So, with that, you be the judge and come to a Bandits event and enjoy a great evening of entertainment.

2011 Season Opener
The Steel Block Bandits will open their 2011 season at County Line Raceway on March 26th with a $2500 to win-$200 to start 40 lap feature.
This event will start out with time trials, heats and B-mains.
From 4pm-4:45pm there will be a drivers meet and
greet behind the grandstands.
Series promoter Danny Wilson, County Line is one of North Carolinas best kept secret. Its a small but action packed track. Track promoter, James Upchurch has done an outstanding job with the track. We are looking forward to traveling south.
ATTENTION RACE TEAMS
Save money with your earlier Platinum Membership. Join the series before December 25, 2010 and save $50. Platinum Members will not pay an entry free to anyone of the series events in 2011. For details please see the 2011 Membership & Registration Form located under the rules page.
Save The Banditos
I know.... You are thinking Banditos, what is this? In 2011 the series will be developing a ladies tee shirt to help promote breast cancer awareness. The slogan is "Save The Banditos" and a portion of the tee shirt sales
will go to breast cancer research.

Like any other series, as we grow comes change. Please review our 2011 rules. There have been a few changes within the points, membership, weight, and various other items. We are trying to give you the best series possible on the east coast.
Also, don't forget our 2010 Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet will be Jan. 8, 2011 at the Lee Jackson/Best Western in Winchester Virginia.Tickets are $30.00 (buy 9 tickets, get one free.) Dinner, awards, guest speaker-Chris Fleming from the Madhouse Show and the Revolution Band on hand to round out the night...Please send check or money order to: Steel Block Bandits, 223 Lakeridge Drive, Stephens City VA 22655 before Dec. 31, 2010.
