Boggs Brothers Racing, LLC Release 12.17.10

Fans and Readers,

After much debate, Boggs Brothers Racing has decided to return to the UMP Dirt Modified ranks for 2011. The team has concluded on this decision due to several factors, namely, the still unstable economy. Team Pilot for Boggs Brothers Racing, Tyler Boggs, commented "We were in the process of putting together a Late Model for this year when we came together as a team to discuss everyone's goals and expectations. We were certain about getting back to the track in 2011, but we were unsure of what manner it would be in. We've enjoyed great success in Late Models in three years, and we're for sure going to miss the intensity of the class. But at the same time, we felt as though the Dirt Late Model division is starting to go in a direction that we feel could be incredibly detrimental to the sport, and I think this is already becoming apparent. We've heard of many teams that have dialed back, moved down, or even closed up shop. Its also truly sad to see the great tracks around us that are struggling, or that have even closed. The Late Model sport is starting to become a higher level of racing, financially speaking, and its becoming too high of a level for the average "saturday night racer." I truly believe that with the current state of the economy, teams are much more inclined to second guess spending the kind of dollars it takes to be competitive in the division. This was a large determining factor for us as well in the move to the Dirt Modified Division. The class is incredibly competitive and much more affordable to the weekly racer. As a team, we're really excited for next year, and it definitely feels as though we're getting back to our roots."

Boggs Brothers Racing has also made large changes in the choice of car builder as well, from when they had previously ran Modifieds. After a visit to Gosport, Indiana, the team has decided to field a Diamond Race Car Chassis, by Ryan and Heather Thomas. Diamond Race Cars is fairly new to the Modified industry as a company, but chassis builder Ryan Thomas, is a long-time racer himself. Over the past three years, Diamond Race Cars has tallied over 90 feature wins, as well as multiple Track and Series Championships. Head of Operations for Boggs Brothers Racing, Travis Boggs, was also quite excited about the new relationship. "Ryan is really a stand-up guy and its obvious that he builds a great car. He has many years of experience with these cars and pairing that with first class fabrication, you have a certain recipe for success. We're really looking forward to getting Tyler in the seat of one of his new cars and seeing what we can do. They are a phenomenal piece." Boggs Brothers Racing would like to thank Ryan and Heather Thomas for being so welcoming to their team. You can check out Diamond Race Cars at www.diamondracecars.net

Boggs Brothers Racing is looking forward to 2011, and what the future holds for the team. The 2011 Schedule will be published as soon as more area tracks' schedules become available. Thank you for reading, and see you at the track!

Boggs Brothers Racing would like to thank their sponsors for 2011: Flexaust Inc., Kentucky Fried Chicken (Rudoni Management), Warsaw Engineering and Fabrication, Cow Chips Beef Jerky, Flexible Warehousing, Elliott's Heating and Air, Boggs Automotive Inc., Dargie Racing Engines, and Diamond Race Cars.
