Screven Motor Speedway has announced that the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series has agreed to endorse the late model portion of the Inaugural Winter Freeze event to be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011. The endorsement of the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series should bring several drivers from the Northern United States who might not otherwise make the trip South for the event. “This will give us a better chance to draw some racers from a different region of the Country and it will give the O’Reilly All Stars Late Model Series some exposure in the South. It doesn’t change anything about the event or the rules but it just really improves the marketing ability of the entire event.” Said Screven Motor Speedway Owner / Promoter James “Redd” Griffin.

As stated above the payout for the super late model portion of the event will remain the same, as will the race format, tire rules and tech procedures, driver entry fees and all other rules that have been previously announced. Kelley Carlton and his KELCAR Motorsports crew will also still be the officiating team for the super late model portion of the event. “Kelley and his guys will still be handling the entire super late model show from top to bottom. Guy (Webb, OASLMS President) just wanted to be a part of the entire program and offered to endorse the late model portion to try and help us get some more cars down here and spread the word a little better.” Griffin added. “We are excited about being part of the show and adding the endorsement of the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series is a great plus for the program. Their O’Reilly Auto Parts sponsorship gives them a national platform for event promotion to a core group of race fans and drivers. That should help to make the show bigger and better.” stated Kelley Carlton.

Open practice will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 for both the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and the Late Models endorsed by the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series. Both the sprint cars and the late models will compete in full shows on Thursday, February 3, 2011 paying $10,000-to-win for each show.
