What does everyone think about USRA putting a 8,000 RPM rev chip on all the Mods this year? And what does everyone think about the 525 crate motor? Can anyone get a car down to 2200 pounds with this motor???

rev chip is supossed to keep costs down rofl just means longer till you freshen if you want or choose, i see it as a form of traction control.2200 lbs no problem alot of cars are built so race ready they're around that to start.a few years back there was a guy advertising his cars were race ready at 1900 with a iron motor so???crate motors are going to kill the engine builder and eventually kill the local racing ever have to buy 1 piston for one??you can get a set of aftermarket pistons for roughly the same price then who can rebuild it or do you just throw it away?would you buy a used crate motor for your street rod knowing that the guy who bought it new and twisted the crap out of it for 30 nights and now wants 2500 for it?another thing is why do they put a chip in an all out aluminum motor?i thought imca rule were whacked but ursra's are pretty much the same as usmts so where is the saving going to come from?
