Jay Cardy Enters Two Events Over the Holidays

Noranda, Western Australia (01/04/11) – Australian Super Late Model driver, Jay Cardy, entered a pair of events over the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

On Sunday, December 26th the team returned to action with the PRO Dirt Series at Bunbury Speedway (Bunbury, Western Australia), which was Boxing Night, 2010. Jay had a strong run in his #52J Cardy Chassis/Draime Racing Engine Super Late Model. He started 9th in the feature and was able to work his way into the 5th position before the checkered flag dropped.

After a week break, the team was back in action on Sunday, January 2nd at Manjimup Speedway (Manjimup, Western Australia) on a very big track that is a fantastic spectacle for the sheer speed of the cars. Cardy finished the first race in 6th after starting in 9th. The second heat he started 2nd and finished 2nd. Via combined points Cardy started on the pole in the b-main which he was able to win. After winning the b-main , he was slated to started 7th in the 22 car field for the feature. However his car stalled before the race and would not fire due to a faulty switch. As a result, he would be unable to run the feature and was credited with a disappointing DNS.

The team is currently deciding when its next event will be. Jay will tentatively return to action in the Australian National Championship on Saturday, January 22nd at Mildura Speedway in Mildura City, Victoria.
