If you wanna remove weight and assuming you are gonna run in drive, you can put the cluster gear on a lath and grind off the teeth on 1st gear, cut half the teeth off on the reverse gear and cut half the teeth off second gear. Then take the first gear off the main shaft and either make a spacer to replace the gear or grind the teeth complety off this gear. You will need to take second gear off the main shaft and grind half the gear off as well. You can remove the small reverse gear from the bottom of the tranny case and put it in a chop saw and cut that gear in half. You will need to add a spacer to take up the space that yo cut off.
