The 2011 version will be the 36th running of the UFo vs ULMS “Yankee Doodle.” The race has been contested on both the clay and aslphalt surfaces of the speedway over the years. Central PA Speedway is a big, wide, sweeping 3/8 mile track, built into a bowl, with excellent viewing from both the bleachers and trackside parking locations. The “Big Track” was one of the initial 5 member tracks of the UFo Race Championship tour and hosted 2 successful events in 2008. The promoters of the UFo tour welcome the Central PA Speedway back for 2011. Track owner Tim Bainey and operations director Dan Bainey have made the track a special events showplace since taking over in 2008. The track is renown for its strong payoffs in the region and the UFo vs. ULMS “Yankee Doodle” will be the highest paying 1-day event on the 2011 alien tour.

The massive payoff of the UFo vs. ULMS “Yankee Doodle” will top $31,000! This will boost the total available payoffs including points bonus for the UFo Race Championship to approximately $440,000 for this season. This UFo Race Championship continues to realize its goal of revitalizing and strengthening Super Late Model racing in the region. This huge amount of prize money is available to the race teams WITHOUT the use of costly entry fees or membership fees. The events are all scheduled within 150 miles of the center point of Washington, PA, which means much less travel expense for the race teams as well.

The UFo Race Championship is an event marketing alliance among independent supertracks in the Pennova region (Western PA-Northern WV-Northeastern OH). That makes for one heck of a haul from Tyler County to Central PA!

It is only about 5 hours, but guess it is a haul since it is the only "haul" on the whole schedule. Make for a busy day with the differences in the track, little bullring to wide haul a$$ track. Guess everyone just need to hope the come out of Tyler with no damage.

Any rumors out there to who may follow the UFo this year? Last years regulars returning, new comer??? I know there is no "membership" and no comment to the series so hard to hear anything

So far, its the only 2-day race weekend at different tracks on the entire schedule. The tow is 229 miles. Not perfect scheduling but Central PA is paying a huge payoff to make the event worthwhile for race teams.

Plus, with UFo's increased tow money this year ($150/race), every team that attends both events is guaranteed $300. No car entry fees are deducted from that since UFo does not have car entry fees. UFo is paying the highest net tow money of any Super LM series i believe, which allows all races teams to walk away from events with some money and makes it more worthwhile for all teams to attend.
