Anyone familiar with the Manley 5.7 rods that Race Engineering sells as their RacePro rod? Looking for the torque setting on the capscrews. ARP can't help and Manley hasn't responded to my inquiries. These use capscrews, not a bolt/nut. I'm going through the bottom end and this is the last thing I need before I button her up.

And given a choice, I'd use the bolt-stretch method versus the absolute torque method for installation. From the chart, it appears the stretch is nominally .005". JEG's has a nice stretch-gauge for about $50. I've used a JEG's gauge for years. AND....... never use a 'clicker' torque wrench. I use the 75# 'beam' torque wrench I bought from Sears, periodically calibrated, and it's always within 1#-2# dead on. -Dave-
