View Full Version : Mustang Front Brakes
I currently have an early 80’s mustang and I am thinking of putting 87 – 93 5.0 spindles on the car to get the larger rotors. I am assuming I also have to use the calipers from the larger rotors. When I do this do I have to worry about the combination valve? I was planning on leaving the rear brakes as they are or do I have to change these also?
Thanks for the help csj

Will the bigger calipers & rotors fit inside your existing wheels?
Personally, I'd use an after-market proportioning valve in the rear line.

Get rid of the factory proportioning valve, get the 3 port master cylinder for a ranger, install manuel control proportioning valve for the rear brakes.
