12 below zero, 25 below wind chill here in Northern Illinois!!! Cold? hel yeah it's cold!!! Oh well it's been colder so I guess I won't complain, but could you in the south send a little warmth this way??:D It's 72 degrees in here at blackford central so all's well for now...:cool:

•The Hurley, WI–Ironwood, MI, area in Iron County had the most snow of 166.9 inches in the winter of 2009-10, while Spring Valley in Pierce County had the least with only 11.5 inches. Most of the southeast half of Wisconsin had 35 to 55 inches of snow.
•Wisconsin’s all-time, lowest temperature is -55°F on February 2 & 4, 1996, near Couderay (Sawyer Co.). Readings of -30°F or colder have been recorded in every month from November through April. Of course, brief readings in the 50’s, 60's and 70’s are possible during winter as well!
•Average annual snowfall ranges from 35 to 40 inches near the Illinois border to 135 to 165 inches in the Iron County snow-belt from Gurney to Hurley.

How do you keep yur pipers from freezing when it's that cold? Even a fat gurl couldn't be much help with temps like that.

Ya gotta keep them pipes flowing Bubba, but only at a slow drip...:D

Yeah but it kills most of the bugs.We don't have 3" long flying pinching bugs.4" long kockroaches,8oz. skeeters,fire ant mounds five foot high or seven color beetles with one eyeball on top.When it does warm up we can actually sleep in the grass,right on the ground if we want to.BUT.....you right! it's cold as chit in the winter.:)

lol! Yea i hear ya! Man i've seen some wierd azz bugs back in the day,in south Texas workin' on a drillin' rig.The skeeters over in Louisianna would fly up and look you right in the eye,then poke their straw in your arm.You'd just have to wait til they fill-up or they'd call for back up.

Don't know how far north you live but occasionally visit the lovely country of Canada. It gets REAL cold up there and I have never seen more mosquitoes at one time. The cold temps obviously don't kill them off up there.

Mother Nature is pissed!! Now She's planing a BLIZZARD for Northern Illini!!! High winds sub zero temps., and 18 to 24 inches of snow with 8 to 10 foot drifts!!!!!!!!!:eek:

Yup,i've noticed that.All the dum ba$$es quit saying Global warming and now calling it Climate change....I still call it history repeating itself.
