The 2011 Northwest Pro4 Alliance racing season is the biggest and best ever for four cylinder late models. It has something for everyone, as the hottest traveling series in the Northwest will hit some of the best race tracks in the country.
The Summer of Excitement Series V will kick-off the season at Meridian Speedway on May 21st. This will be the first visit to the downtown speed plant by the Alliance since the new general manager, Adam Nelson (finalist for the RPM Promoter of the Year), and crew redesigned the oval giving it more room and banking for better racing and closer competition.
Next, it’s back to Wenatchee Valley Super Oval where Rick Thompson will be looking for his third consecutive win at the fast quarter-mile super oval.
Round three, on July 9th, will be the biggest event in Alliance history as the fastest four cylinder late models west of the rockies will roll into Evergreen Speedway to race on the 5/8th mile super speedway. Not only will the Alliance race on the biggest track to date, but they will be racing on the same weekend as NASCAR’s premiere west coast series, the K&N Filters West Series. Top Alliance teams will share the weekend with the NASCAR WEST teams and owners.
August 13th will find the Alliance back home again at Stateline Stadium Speedway. The Alliance has never had a repeat winner in its five races held at the fast Post Falls, ID, track. The question is, will the streak continue?
The goal of the Alliance program is to take its teams to new and exciting places; so, on September 10th, the Alliance will visit Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, OR. This will be a first for many of the Alliance drivers, and everyone is looking forward to the opportunity.
The 2011 Northwest Pro4 Alliance will wrap-up the season once again with the Championship at the Classic. On October 1st the Alliance will crown its champion at Yakima Speedway’s Fall Classic. Last year’s event saw Craig Forney drive owner Skip Markham’s Ford to the biggest win in his career, pocketing the $1200.00 purse, while Utah’s Kurt Madsen won the title for the first time.
This schedule will provide fun and excitement with close fender-to-fender racing, new tracks and high speeds, with all the glamour and glitter that comes with racing with NASCAR on a big track. Wow! What an experience for all of the Pro4 teams and fans! Don’t miss a single event this summer!
