Knoxville, Tennessee – The big news concerning Billy Ogle Jr. heading into the 2011 season is a team change.

After driving for Mike Kittrell Motorsports for two seasons, Ogle will be piloting a second car for Blount Motorsports during the upcoming Speedweeks in Georgia and Florida.

The new union came together after Ogle drove a second Blount Motorsports car at The Gobbler Southern All-Stars race at Cleveland Speedway in November. Ogle’s previous owner, Kittrell, decided to scale back his racing operation in 2011. Ogle was presented with the opportunity to drive for Blount Motorsports again during Speedweeks. Ogle will be teammates with Tommy Kerr. Kerr has driven for Blount Motorsports since 2006.

Ogle and the Blount Motorsports team will be racing at Screven Motor Speedway in Screven, Georgia on February 3, Golden Isle Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia on February 4-5, and Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida on February 14-19.

If additional sponsorship can be secured, Ogle could drive for Blount Motorsports for more races in 2011.

“As of now, Billy will be driving for us in Georgia and Florida,” said Larry Garner, owner of Blount Motorsports. “We don’t have anything else lined up past that. We’re working on sponsorship so Billy can drive for us for the whole year. That hasn’t come through yet. But that’s our plan right now, to race at Screven, Brunswick, and Volusia.”
