CARTERSVILLE, GA – Drivers competing in the 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour will have something new to race for. In addition to the $20,000 share of the point fund that goes to the champion, the top point driver will also receive the first NeSmith Cup. The road to the NeSmith Cup begins in two weeks at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL with three events.

The trio of events are a part of the 35th Annual East Bay Winternationals at the 1/3-mile “Clay By The Bay” and open with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on February 24, followed by a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on February 25, and the finale will be a 50-lap $3,000-to-win race. East Bay Raceway Park will host a practice session on February 23.

The NeSmith Cup is a status symbol that sets the Champion apart from the rest of the top ten that will still receive trophies. The NeSmith Cup can be the showpiece of any driver’s trophy case, as it has a completely different appearance than the standard wooden post trophies that are standard in the industry.

NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series competitors are reminded that mufflers are required for competition at East Bay Raceway Park. Any standard external type mufflers are permitted and no insert mufflers will be allowed.
