The US Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbards Mt Orab Ford and B&B Auto care is proud to announce the addition of 5 races to the 2011 schedule at Brush Creek Motorsports Complex. They will join the other 3 tracks ( Florence Speedway, Lawrenceburg Speedway, Moler Raceway Park) to make up a 77 race schedule for 2011. The CMC's goal is to highlight and promote racing in the area around Cincinnati that showcases some of the best modified racing in the country. The CMC uses a format where a drivers best 15 finishes counts towards the championship. Brushcreek also joined UMP this year so with all the tracks having rules that were close it only made sense to include them in the CMC.
The Inaugural CMC race at Brushcreek will take place on Sunday July 3rd along with the firework show. Then the fans will really see fireworks on Wednesday July 6th as the Modifieds will be part of Steven Partin's Hidden Gem. This unique event should be a must see as the Cincinnati area will be overwhelmed with race fans in town for the innaugral Nextel Cup event at nearby Kentucky Speedway. Then on Friday August 5th and 6th the CMC will be part of American Heritage Classic. Friday will pay $1000 to win and Saturdays winner picks up the best trophy in modified racing, A brand new Harley Davidson V-rod. Then on September 24th the CMC will be part of the 2nd annual TheDRC.net night at the races. It only made sense to be part of this night as TheDRC.net has been supportive of the CMC from the beginning.
The CMC banquet and kickoff party is coming up on February 27th as we honor our 2010 Champion Devin Gilpin and the rest of our top ten and co-rookies of the year. Also we plan on announcing the point fund for 2011. The CMC is happy to partner with US Race Gear, B&B Auto Care, Gabbards Mt.
