What is the offset supposed to be. Tried changing my rearend over from a B&S to a DW8. Is it easier to find someone to modifiy it or just buy one from dirtworks themselves.
thanks

I got nothin' here on rearend offset. They tell you to use a 3" offset on the LR wheel and a 4" offset on the RR wheel, but I know that's not what you want.

And they tell you to square the rearend in the chassis using chassis tabs or punch marks on the upper frame rails. They recommend 10 degrees of downward pinion angle unless you are running multi-leafs.

Closest thing I can find to what you're asking:

From a plumbob hanging off the right-side top frame rail, you should measure 16 1/4" to the pinion center. There is a secondary measurement of 13 7/8" that looks like it's from the same plumbob to maybe the right side upright that sits on top of the rearend housing?

Hope that helps...
