CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has announced its growing list of sponsors for the 2011 racing season. The series has all of its sponsors from the 2010 season returning, and has added several new sponsors for the 2011 season.

NeSmith Chevrolet, Buick, GMC of Claxton, GA returns as the series’ title sponsor for the fourth consecutive year. NeSmith is the nation’s number one GM Powertrain Dealer for five years running, and is also the nation’s number one volume dealer of Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans with free delivery anywhere in the Southeast.

GM Performance Parts returns as an Official Sponsor of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series. GM Performance Parts builds economical and durable the 604 and 602 Crate Engines that are used in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series race cars.

Hoosier Race Tire of Lakeville, IN is the Official Racing Tire of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series. They provide the Crate USA 55 and Crate USA 21 compound racing tires designed exclusively for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series.

VP Racing Fuels is the Official Racing Fuel of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series and sponsor the series’ Rookie of the Year Award. VP Racing Fuels provides the CHP Fuels especially blended for the GM Performance Crate Engines. VP Racing Fuels will also award the top Rookie in the Touring point standings at the end of the season with the $5,000 VP Racing Fuels Rookie of the Year Award.

Hedman Husler Hedders is a new official sponsor of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series, as they are the Official Hedder of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series, and they will also sponsor the Hedman Husler Award in 2011.

Formerly known as the Hard Charger Award, the $100 Hedman Husler Award goes to the driver that improves his position the most from the start of the race to the end of the race. All drivers in the race will receive one point for each position they improve all season. The driver with most points at the end of the season will receive the $1,000 Hedman Husler of the Year Award.

Old Man’s Garage (OMG) has signed on for the 2011 season to sponsor the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region. The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series is a Regional point system for drivers competing at weekly tracks in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. The 2011 Old Man’s Garage (OMG) East Region Champion will receive $5,000.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Contingency Sponsors provide product certificates at each series touring event. Returning Contingency Sponsors for 2011 are Dominator Race Products who will sponsor the Hard Luck Award, Racecar Engineering that will sponsor the 5th-Place and 8th-Place Awards, KRC that will sponsor the 6th-Place and 10th-Place Awards, Joe Gibbs Driven Oil that will sponsor the 7th-Place Award, Maximum Signs and Graphics that will sponsor the 9th-Place Award, Mike’s Custom Tanks that will sponsor the 11th-Place Award, and Shorty’s Shock Service that will sponsor the 12th-Place Award.

New NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Contingency Sponsors for the 2011 season are Integra Racing Shocks that will sponsor the Just Missed It Award for the first driver that fails to qualify for the main event, Schoenfeld Headers that will sponsor the 13th-Place Award, J.T. Kerr Racing Equipment that will sponsor the 14th-Place Award and Cofield Racing Starters that will sponsor the 15th-Place Award.

Six dirt late model chassis builders will compete for the 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Chassis Manufacturers Challenge Championship in both the Touring Series and the Weekly Racing Series. Trak-Star Race Cars built by Boland Performance of Cuba, AL will be defending both its Touring and WRS titles against four other returning chassis builders and a new addition to the competition.

Joining Trak-Star Race Cars for the 2011 season will be two-time Touring Champion Warrior Race Cars built by Goddard Performance of Knoxville, TN, three-time Weekly Racing Series Champion GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier, AR, Rocket Chassis of Shinnston, WV, and TNT Race Cars of Piney Flats, TN. Stinger Race Cars built by J.T. Kerr Racing Equipment in Rockford, TN will join the challenge for 2011.

The 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour begins this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL. The 27-week NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series will begin on April 1 and run through October 2.
