What fluid are you guys using? We have a Sweet rack, Sweet pump. Is it a must to use the $12.00/quart racing stuff?

Use the Sweet power steering fluid.....you spent 700-800 dollars on a rack and your pump probably cost around 200 so what is a couple quarts of good power steering fluid. I just don't understand some peoples logic

Not tryin to be a smart yzz but $12.00 isnt that much when you take into account the countless other costs. Just change it a couple times a year and call it insurance.

I would bet that Randy Sweet doesn't own a refinery and I know that all his pumps and servos are make from Delphi parts, so any fluid that meets GM specs should be good.

Sweets fluid is custom blended specifically for racing by a very well known high performance oil company. The pump RPM and pressure are well beyond what any OEM would use and a custom blended oil does help.

So, the place that re-packages hydraulic pumps and controls has a "special" blend of oil made just for them...OK.

Check out ED HOWES web site he says he hasnt found anything better than GM brand of power steering fluid, and that a lot different brands are just GM repackaged!
