PRO Dirt Car Series Announces 2011 Schedule
Columbus, Mississippi (03/03/11) – The P.R.O. Dirt Car Series has announced its 2011 schedule as the tour prepares for its sophomore season. After a 2010 campaign, which saw the tour average 32 cars per event as David Breazeale claimed the inaugural season's title, the series if busily preparing for 2011.
The 2011 PRO Dirt Car Series will get underway on Friday, April 29th at North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Alabama) with a $2,000 to win event before sliding east down Hwy 157 to Moulton Speedway (Moulton, Alabama) on Saturday night, April 30th for another $2,000 to win event, which will mark the tour's first ever visit to the 1/4 mile oval.
Thirteen dates currently dot the schedule with Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) and Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama (date soon to be announced) also hosting events for the first time. Another first will happen on August 13th when the PRO Dirt Car Series & O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model tour go head-to-head in their first ever challenge event at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi). More dates will be added in the coming weeks, and once again a driver's best ten finishes will count towards the final point's fund.
The 2011 schedule for the PRO Dirt Car Series will conclude with the tour's richest sanctioned event ever on November 4th-5th as the series sanctions the $7,000 to win/$700 to start, 5th Annual Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi).
It's also worth noting that negotiations are also currently underway for the PRO Series to be involved with the Bama Bash at Green Valley Speedway (Glencoe, Alabama) in 2012. Stay tuned for possible details.
