Sylvania, GA – March 5, 2011 – The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is set to make it's fourth annual appearance at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, GA on Saturday, March 26, 2011. In the three previous appearances of the series at the track there has been three different winners – Austin Hubbard in 2010, Tim Fuller in 2009, and Steve Francis in 2008. Will 2011 bring the fourth different winner for the series at the track?

Josh Richards from Shinnston, WV will be looking for his first career win at Screven Motor Speedway as he defends his 2010 series championship and battles for his third WoO Series championship in a row. 19-year old Austin Hubbard will also be trying to make history as the first WoO driver to enter victory lanes at Screven Motor Speedway more than one time. Austin Hubbard put on a show for fans last year as he became the youngest driver ever to win a WoO Late Model Series event and showed fans his famed “Ricky Bobby” impression on the front stretch of the speedway.

The event will also feature local racing divisions – Street Stock V8's, Mini Stocks, and Renegades battling for the first time in the 2011 racing season.

Yes you can bring in all the beer that you would like. The only thing that we ask is that NO glass bottles. Everyone have a safe trip and look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. I will work on trying to get Red to give me a full menu for this race. He says it is going to be the same as it was for the Inaugural Winter Freeze event.

So....they are gonna run two (2) complete shows of Supers? I have paid for two (2) complete shows.

I realize no one can help the weather, but, why did the drivers know 30 minutes (or more) before the spectators that the race had been canceled?
I was in the stands as I watched 3 haulers pull out, one of them the defending WoO Champion. Look in the pits and all the others are trying to get out.

Wow, that's risky, no margin for error.

The drivers did not know about the cancellation before the announcement was made. Several drivers knew that a storm was coming as they were watching the radar and decided to move their haulers out of the pit gate to avoid getting stuck if the race were to be cancelled. The drivers had asked WoO officials to call them and let them know the status of the race as they were just going to park down the street and wait for an official decision.

Tickets that were purchased for this event can be used at ANY time at Screven during the 2011 race season - including the Nov 2 make-up date for the Winter Freeze or any other special event scheduled in 2011.

If you used your rain ticket from the Winter Freeze event for this event - then you have 1 ticket for any event in 2011. If you have a rain out ticket from the Winter Freeze and a rain out from the WoO race - then you have 2 tickets for any event in 2011 at SMS.

I know it is useless now, but looking into the pits it looks like they had a big field of late models. Does anyone know what the car count was for last night.

So on Wednesday Nov 2nd you will have the make up Winter Freeze for the AllStar sprint cars, the makeup late model race from Winter Freeze where the field was set with exception of B Main qualifiers, and last night's World of Outlaws Late Model race? This would be one sprint race and two late model races all for $10,000 each or is the late model race from Winter Freeze essentially eliminated now?

This would be one sprint race and two late model races all for $10,000 each or is the late model race from Winter Freeze essentially eliminated now?

The November 2 Winter Freeze event will include the A Main (Feature) event for the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series for $10,000-to-win - the feature event is set for this event based on the qualifying, heats and consi's from Feb. Also, the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars will run a complete new show for $3,000 to win.

The late model field for the Winter Freeze in Feb was never complete as they did not complete their consi events to get a 24 car starting field, so there will be a complete new show, which is now sanctioned by the World of Outlaws instead of unsanctioned for $12,000 to win - 60 laps.
