Super Bowl of Racing VII ON GO at Golden Isles Speedway

Waynesville, Georgia - Golden Isles Speedway is set and ready for it's rescheduled Super Bowl of Racing VII this Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th. The event, which was rescheduled because of rain and fog in February, will feature a pair of 50 lap unsanctioned $10,000 to win Super Late Model races. The weather forecast looks excellent for Friday and Saturday with the National Weather Service predicting a 0% chance of rain and very mild temperatures for both days. The mild temperatures combined with rain earlier in the week should provide for a super fast and racy 4/10ths of a mile surface.

48 cars signed in before weather forced the cancellation and more than 25 drivers have already confirmed that they will return. Drivers confirming their return include 2010 Lucas Oil Late Model Series Champion Scott Bloomquist, 2010 Southern All Stars East Champion Casey Roberts and 2010 National Late Model Series Champion Tyler Ivey. Other national touring standouts like Rick Eckert, Earl Pearson, Jr., Brad Neat, Steve Francis, Dan Schlieper, Tim Fuller, Clint Smith, Austin Hubbard, Bub McCool, Jonathan Davenport, Steve Shaver, Darrell Lanigan and Chris Madden are also expected to return on Friday and Saturday. In addition to the touring drivers a host of regional and local racers like Chesley Dixon, Ben Faircloth, Johnny Pursley, Jordy Nipper, Mitch Fulford and Mike Nasworthy should be on hand. All these and many others will be competing for over $70,000 in purse money on the weekend. John Robinson of Robinson's Recycling in Valdosta, Georgia has also posted a $250 Fast Qualifier Award for each night. Robinson's Recycling is located at 1020 Howell Road in Valdosta, Georgia. Robinson's specializes in copper, aluminum and all scrap metal recycling as well as container services for industrial & commercial accounts, construction debris containers. "We are glad that we are finally going to have some good weather for this race. We have a lot of drivers coming back - some of the best in the United States. We are gonna give them a good track to race on and we plan to put on a show for the fans. We want to invite everyone to come on out and enjoy some great racing at Golden Isles." said Golden Isles Speedway owner / promoter Frankie Lloyd. Lloyd also announced his purse for the Golden Isles Limited Sportsman support class that will also be in action both nights of Super Bowl VII. "We will run our Limited Sportsman class and pay them their regular Saturday night purse which is $700 to win but it will be $50 to start at a minimum. If we get 25 or more cars we will up it to $1000 to win and pay more through the field. We should have a good field of our Limiteds and I hope we get to pay that extra money out." Lloyd added.
