I have a 98 cavalier 2.4l 5 speed im going to be running at lasalle speedway this year. I was wondering what tire size you would suggest and would you run 2nd or 3d gear. Thanks in advance for the help

too many variables to answer that question....like what is the size in inches, what size is track, whats the RPM range you want...etc...

I want to turn around 7000 rpms. They say the track is 1/4 mile highbanked but i think it may be just a little bigger. I was told to run 185/60/14s in third gear. But i dont no if thats close or not. It seems like everyone runs second gear there in four cylinders so i was just trying to see what other opinions people had.

what you need is the gears out of a 2.5 trans and run 2nd with 14" wheels. Them Quad transmissions ain't geared right for 2nd or 3rd. in 2nd you'll bee hitting over 8k and in 3rd 5,500 tops.
