I wonder if the hubs from a 90,s model Grand Prix, Lumina, Cutlass ect. could be used on these cars? (With a little fabrication maybe?) I ran a Grand Prix for 4 years and never had a wheel bearing problem and the car weighs 2800lbs.

I have found that 85-90% of the time it will be the wheel bearing (http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/wheel_bearing~pop.html) on the same side to which you are turning when the noise is loudest, on Front wheel drive cars with integrated double roller bearings which are the most common type.
