Pair of Top 5 Finishes for Bub McCool; WoO at Columbus Up Next

Vicksburg, MS (03/16/11) – Last weekend Bub took his #57J McCool Logging/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ens Racing Engine Super Late Model into war at the Super Bowl of Racing VII at Golden Isles Speedway and came away with a pair of top five finishes to show for his efforts..

Bub traveled to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) for the first leg of the Super Bowl of Racing VII, which was headlined by a $10,000 to win event on Friday night. Twenty-four Super Late Models entered the event, and Bub would begin the night by qualifying seventh fastest. He would go on to finish fourth in his heat race to lock into the 15th starting spot for the feature. In the main event, McCool would mount a great charge to the front, which saw him race his way to as high as the third position late in the race before settling for a fourth place finish.

McCool Motorsports entered the final night of the Super Bowl of Racing VII on Saturday night as once again 24 cars entered the $10,000 to win event. After a strong qualifying effort, Bub started on the front row of his heat race, which he won to earn the outside front row starting spot for the 50 lap feature. At the drop of the green, McCool bolted to the lead, an advantage he would enjoy for the first 25 laps. However as the race approached its midway point, McCool entered heavy traffic and second place runner, Steve Shaver, would slip by to take over control of the top spot. Over the last half of the event, McCool's tires would begin to go away as he slipped to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Shaver, Steve Francis, Scott Bloomquist, and Jonathan Davenport.
