STARS Volunteer Racing Series ready to tear up the clay April 9th at North Georgia
Somerset, KY (March 10, 2011)--On Saturday Night April 9th the STARS Volunteer Racing Series will open its second season of racing with a visit to the North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA.
This will be the fifth-ever appearance and the first of four season visits to the Timmy Millwood promoted facility. The STARS VRS Late Models will race during the 40-lap A-Main for $3,000 to win /$300 to start.
Millwood and his crew are making several improvements for the upcoming season including new clay on the race track which will greet the VRS drivers in less than a month.
Along with the STARS VRS Late Models will be the supporting divisions of Limited Late Model, Crate Late Model, Modified Hobby, B-Hobby, Stock Pony and the Modified Pony class.
The pit gates will open on April 9th at 3:00 pm with the Grandstands opening at 5:00 pm. The Driver's Meeting is slated for 6:45 pm while Hot Laps will follow at around 7:00 pm. Adult General admission is $17.00 while Pit Passes will be $27.00.
