Geisler Racing Set to Begin their 30th Season with Sponsor #1 Cochran Automotive!
Cranberry Township, PA (March 22, 2011) The Geisler Racing Team, which includes National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Member Lynn Geisler and Crate Late Model standout Mike Pegher Jr., have been hard at work over the off-season and are looking to continue the winning tradition Geisler Racing has become known for over the past three decades.
Lynn will open his season this Friday, March 25 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA and will keep pace with the same type of local schedule that he has had in previous years once Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway (PPMS) opens up on Saturday, April 2. One difference in Lynn’s schedule this season will be when he takes a night off to let Mike Pegher Jr. take over in the #1 Cochran Automotive Super Late Model. ‘We’re going to get Mike into the Super a little bit this year,’ Geisler said, ‘but it’s all going to depend on scheduling and what makes sense for us to do. He’s still going to run the full Fastrak Northeast deal so when there’s no crate show anywhere, you may see him in the super.’
With the team celebrating their 30th Anniversary with sponsor #1 Cochran Automotive, Geisler and Pegher Jr. will both have ‘30th Anniversary’ banners incorporated in their decal wraps designed by Jason Fleming at JNJ Motorsports Media and printed by Zero Wraps. ’Thirty years is a long time for anything but to be associated with the same company for that long is something we are very proud of.’ Geisler commented, ‘It’s really a testament to Rob Cochran, #1 Cochran Automotive, and Jack Crowell for not just supporting Geisler Racing throughout the years but supporting our sport for as long as they have. They do a lot more with the sport than just help us out. They are very active in the local racing industry, almost every racer out there has benefited from #1 Cochran in some way over the past thirty years. We’re extremely proud and honored to have been a part of it.’
Lynn’s season kicks off this Friday, March 25 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA while Mike will be in action in the Super Late Model this Saturday, March 26 at Mercer Raceway Park for the $3,000 to-win, Unified Force Race Championship (UFO) sanctioned ‘Chiller Thriller’.
