Jake Griffin Set for 2011 Season Opener at I-55 Raceway

Quincy, Illinois (03/22/11) –Jake Griffin will open his 2011 season with both guns blazing as he goes into action with both his UMP Open Wheel Modified and UMP PRO Late Model at this weekend's DIRTCar Roundup at I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Missouri).

The twelve year old, Griffin, is coming off a successful 2010 campaign, and is preparing for his biggest season ever in 2011 as the young driver is slated to enter over 100 events, while competing in both the UMP Open Wheel Modified division and the PRO Late Model division. Jake will be primarily focusing for the United Late Model Association (ULMA) National Championship. The ULMA sanctions Late Model events throughout the Midwest, and Jake will contend for the title by competing weekly at Callaway Raceway (Fulton, Missouri) and Scotland County Speedway (Memphis, Missouri).

This weekend, March 24th-26th, Jake will kick off his 2011 campaign with the 1st Annual UMP DIRTCar Roundup at I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Missouri). The huge event will feature eight divisions in action over the course of the three days, while the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds battle for a $2,000 top prize and the UMP Pro Late Models compete for a $1,500 winner's share.
