View Full Version : Mother Nature Derails PPMS Test And Tune

The "Test and Tune" Session scheduled for Saturday, March 26th at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway has been rescheduled for April 2, 2011.

"Although we are looking forward to getting the 2011 racing season underway, the heavy rains that were received this week as well as the forecast of high temperatures only reaching the 40 degree mark on Friday and Saturday have forced us to postpone the Test and Tune Session," commented speedway owner, Matt Miley.

The "Test and Tune" Session will now be held on Saturday, April 2nd. Grandstand and Pit Admission gates will open at 2:00PM with practice to take place from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. Grandstand Admission is Free and Pit Admission is priced at 25.00.

The quest for the 2011 PPMS Points Titles will get underway on Saturday, April 9th with a six division Action Event. The program features the Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic DIRTcar Super Late Models, Brougher's Machine Shop FASTRAK/Pro-Lates, Miley Truck and RV Rental DIRTcar UMP E-Mods, Sunoco Race Fuels DIRTCar Cadets, Miley BP Car Wash DIRTcar Hobby Stocks and Imperial Heights Garage DIRTcar Young Guns.

The Hobby Stock and Young Gun Spring Trophy Championships will headline the six division Action Event scheduled for April 16th.

There has been no increase in admission prices for the weekly Action Events as Adult Grandstand Admission remains at $13.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $12.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $9.00. Admission for Children aged Seven through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Seven will be admitted Free. Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments however; no glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are permitted. In addition coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller.
