Tullahoma,Tn (March 20,2011) For the first time ever,the stars and cars of the Southern Regional Racing Series Super Late Model tour will invade Richmond Raceway in Richmond,Ky on Saturday April 9th.

The 3/10 mile oval is known for always presenting a challenge to drivers as well as a great show to the fans,and the competitors of the Southern Regional Racing Series will be looking to battle for bragging rights in the 3,000 to win even,which will mark the sixth event on the tour for 2011.

2010 SRRS champion, Anthony Burroughs who is tied with Eric Hickerson for the 2011 points title will lead a talented cast of competitors into the event including Josh Putnam,Brandon King,Chuck Proctor,Jacob Grizzle, and Tony Morris.The touring drivers will face a strong challenge from the local contingent,who will look to keep the top money in the Blue Grass State.

Gates will open at 5(est) drivers meeting 6:45(est) hotlaps will follow after drivers meeting.

I will be down in lexington ky and was thinkin about heading over for the frostbite 40. Just wondering what to expect for car count, caliber of racing? Do they qual? Any other helpful information would be great!

The SRRS does group qualifying. If there are over 24 cars, we usually do heat races after "locking in" a certain amount of cars from each group after qualifying (usually 2 or three from each group).

The SRRS is excited for the FROST BITE 40.
