Ponderosa Speedway STARS MDRL/STARS VRS events have been removed from schedule

SOMERSET, KY (March 27, 2011)—The STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League and the STARS Volunteer Racing Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts have had to regrettably make an announcement concerning the events at the Ponderosa Speedway located in Junction City, KY.

Effective immediately, the four events that were scheduled on Friday Nights of April 22 (MDRL), May 20 (MDRL), June 24 (MDRL vs. VRS) and August 19 (MDRL) have been removed from the schedule citing financial concerns from promoter Donnie Sullivan.

Mr. Sullivan informed Series Director Chris Tilley on Sunday Afternoon March 27th that he could not meet the financial obligations of the event purse totaling $13,235.00 on either of the nights.

‘It’s unfortunate for the series and for the track, but I want the drivers to always get their purse monies, and I didn’t feel it was right to try and move forward with these dates and then promoter come up at the end of the night and say that he didn’t have the money to pay them,’ stated STARS MDRL and STARS VRS Director Chris Tilley.

‘We will move forward from this unfortunate situation and may fill some of the dates left open but if we don’t that’s okay. I just felt that the 15 races we had in place for the series we’re in good spots for the drivers and the promoters,’ said Tilley again.

The STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League-season will now open on Saturday Night April 23rd at Brandon Hardgrove’s Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY paying $3,000 to win / $300 to start.

The STARS Volunteer Racing Series-season opens on Saturday Night April 9th at the North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA paying $3,000 to win / $300 to start.

Further information on the STARS Volunteer Racing Series or the STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League can be obtained by calling the series office at (606) 219-1723 or by visiting the official website for both series located at www.racevrs.com .

Ahh Tilley come on now, bud you really shouldn't write your own press releases when you are this mad and dramatic. It really shows your true colors. Why didn't you just state the truth in the press release and say that you only had those races at Ponderosa was because cousin Brandon was the promoter at the time...everyone knows how many times uncle Harold and cousin Brandon has fired you and no one ever expected those races to really actually happen..hell we all know that Brandon will get fed up with you after the first race at Lake Cumberland and will send your ass packing like he did last year several times.

It's really unprofessional of you to use a press release to slam a promoter that just didn't want you there...how long has it been since you been to Ponderosa anyway, didn't Yantz ban you from his track in the past too?

The clock is ticking...can you hear it? Won't be long until they get tired of you down south and you will be backing a meatloaf and taking it to Brandon begging for a job like you did with his dad.

Don't use a press release to slam a promoter and race track when the problem is looking at you in the mirror bud!!

H.R. here now, gone quicker!
