Im looking at a 408 stroker motor for a mod, it has scat forged crank h beam rods, flat top pistions, trick flow race heads, and super victor intake but it has a stock later model roller cam block. What is everybodies opinion on the block will it last or better stay away? thanks for any info

It will hold up fine with a good balance, and have the main caps keyed in the registers where they sit. The Windsor block will suffer from register shift and this is what breaks the blocks, keying the registers keeps the main caps from walking and reduces the chances of breaking the blocks. I run a 427 stroker in my drag car, makes 700 hp and havent had any issues.
