Biggest Weekly Points Pay Out Ever For Late Models
A huge announcement was made concerning the Extreme Power Sports championship points program for the Late Model division. EAMS has made the decision not to be Nesmith sanction for the 2011 season and has put together the biggest weekly points fund for the Late Model division ever which will be awarded to a local driver that competes at EAMS. The Late Model championship will pay over $10,000 in cash and prizes with the champion receiving $5,000 cash, a Scorpion Chassis frame & cage a $3,500 value, Quick Fuel Carburetor, Hoosier Tires, Sunoco Fuel, championship trophy, championship jacket, 2012 EAMS season pass for the pit area and other prizes to be announced. Second thru Tenth will receive cash payouts as well 2nd - $2,000, 3rd - 1,500, 4th - 1,250, 5th - 1,000, 6th - 900, 7th - 800, 8th - 700, 9th - 600, 10th - 500. The Late Model points program will work as follows: $100 membership fee, best 20 finishes will count for championship, must run at least 15 races to be eligible for cash prizes. We have ran 2 races in 2011 and the points drivers accumulated for those events will be used after they reach the 20 race mark to replace lower finishes. Weekly Late Model races will pay $800 to win, $75 to start with a $25 entry fee. The points system for the Late Model division will be calculated as follows 1st Place - 50, 2nd Place - 49, 3rd Place - 48 dropping one point per position thru 9th Place, 10th Place and below will be 41 points. You will receive 25 points if you do not start the feature. Sunoco Fuel bonus will be 10 bonus points for fuel purchase each race night.
