Henderson Motorsports To Invade Lone Star Speedway This Weekend

Laurel, Mississippi (03/29/11) – After seeing two of three World of Outlaws Super Late Model events nixed by rain last week, Henderson Motorsports will head to Texas this weekend with both guns blazing as both David Breazeale and Leon Henderson will enter the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event at Lone Star Speedway.

Henderson Motorsports entered their first ever event at Ocala Speedway (Ocala, Florida) on Friday night, March 25th. The $10,000 to win, World of Outlaws event saw David Breazeale start the night strong by setting sixth fast time overall in his #54 Henderson Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 By Moyer Super Late Model. In his heat race, he would finish second to earn a spot in the redraw for the feature. The redraw would reward Breazeale with the fourth starting spot for the feature. Despite starting near the front of the pack in the feature, David would find his mount to be ill-handling as he struggled on the one groove track. After slipping back several spots early in the feature, Breazeale would retire to a 24th place finish.

Leon Henderson was also in action in his #10 Henderson Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 By Moyer Super Late Model, but would struggle in time trials leaving him starting at the back of a heat race. In both the heat and his b-main, Leon would not reach a transfer spot to the feature bringing his night to an early end.

The team ventured to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) on Saturday night for a $10,000 to win, World of Outlaws Super Late Model event. Unfortunately, shortly after arriving rain showers began to plague the facility, ultimately forcing the postponement of the event until November 2nd.

With a poor forecast for Sunday night's program at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Georgia) the team opted to head home early Sunday morning. It would prove to be a good decision as the event would fall victim to late afternoon rain.

This weekend both team drivers will enter the $20,000 to win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event at Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas). An open practice session will be held on the 3/8 mile on Thursday night. Friday night will see time trials and heat race action, with Saturday night's program consisting of b-mains and the feature event.
