Ross Camponovo Scores Top Ten Finish in Season Opener; JMS This Weekend
Clarksdale, Mississippi (03/29/11) – Ross Camponovo was finally able to get his 2011 season underway last Saturday as he piloted his #18 Camponovo Farms/Rocket/RPM Racing Engine Super Late Model to a top ten finish at Jackson Motor Speedway.
After several unsuccessful attempts to get his season underway, Ross was finally able to enter an event as he traveled to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for a Weekly Racing Series Event, which served as the season opener for the facility. Twenty-one Super Late Models entered the event and Camponovo began the night by qualifying ninth fastest to earn the fourth starting spot for his heat race. He would finish fourth in the heat, which locked him into the ninth starting spot for the main event.
In the 20 lap feature, Ross would mount a good run as he advanced to a sixth place finish behind event winner, Rodney Wing, Chad Thrash, Jason Cliburn, Steve Bryan, and George Paul. Full results are available at www.JacksonMotorSpeedway.net.
RC Motorsports will return to Jackson Motor Speedway this Saturday, April 2nd for a $2,500 to win, MSCCS Super Late Model event.
