Due to the heavy rains that moved into the area Tuesday night, the weather has caused a delay in final track preparations. The racing program has been moved to Sunday, April 3. The entire region has been soaked with heavy rainfall over the last four weeks. With the track being banked as steeply as it is, the heavy rains have washed away some of the racing surface and causing huge packs of mud at the inside retaining walls. Track crews spent all day and into the evening on Tuesday grading the track and made significant progress. Wednesday's rain, combined with more forecasted rain on Thursday and Friday morning, will delay preparing the racing surface by one day. The decision was made to take Friday afternoon and all day Saturday to finish with the track work. Pit gates will open at 11:30, grandstand gates will open at 1:00, and racing will start at 2:00.
