Ponderosa Speedway Has Test and Tune Open Practice April 8
Junction City, KY- April 4, 2011- Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Donnie Sullivan and family will present its last opportunity for drivers to get practice laps before the 2011 race season begins with a scheduled test and tune open practice this Friday April 8.
After last week’s test and tune was cancelled due to wet track conditions, Ponderosa Speedway will have its final test and tune practice date on Friday April 8. Practice activities are set to get underway around 6:00 p.m. on Friday April 8 and will run until 10:00 p.m. It will be the final chance for racers to shake down their cars, as racing is set to commence on Friday April 15 with the Spring Stampede 40th Anniversary Season Opener event that will feature double track points in all divisions.
Activities for the April 8 practice session will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m., with the practice session set to get to begin at 6:00 p.m. Admission to the general admission area will be free for all patrons, with a pit pass costing $10.
Ponderosa Speedway will present six divisions of weekly racing competition and those include the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models, Ken Towery’s Auto Tires and Super Service Modifieds, D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman, Simple Sign and Decal Street Stocks, and SkyTower Power Race Engines Open Four Cylinders.
Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. The Sullivan family will the track promoters and will present dirt track sports entertainment on Friday evenings throughout the 2011 race season.
